Finding Your Peace

People talk about how to build peace but how does one go about creating peace? Does peace already exist or does it require nourishment? What is the deeper understanding of peace? Is it the people or something more underlying? Peace is something that can be built but it has to begin with peace within yourself.

There are countless ways to do this if you want or need to. Meditation, relaxation tapes, videos, ebooks and so forth are never far away at the local library or right here on the internet.

To instill peace in yourself, you must build slowly and follow through with your plans. Some people find that they already have these traits. Some people have to work to attain them. One will build peace if one is a conscious worker. One can create peace with the right ingredients. The political and personal will must be embedded in you to create harmony amongst yourself and the people around you. One important factor to constantly remind yourself is that of the sheer patience one must have to build peace. It does not come within days.

Whether or not the human race can create peace worldwide is more than questionable. It is crucial to understand and more importantly respect the abundance of cultures and religions around the world. Each individual is responsible for creating peace within themselves and in their own neighborhood. Peace starts at the inner level of one self. Someone does not have to be part of political rallies to initiate peace. They can do so just within themselves, from their heart and soul. In doing so, the likelihood of things going awry are greatly reduced. As for the notion of  "....fighting for peace...." doesn't even warrant a comment.

The will of the people always seems to fade as they are tested by the most challenging times such as the current economic and war crisis. Every day is a battle for most people, to just stay afloat or earn another dollar. We place so much pressure on ourselves to survive that we forget to look closely at the inner peace we damage. We are not able to think about creating peace in the world due to being too busy with the futile attempt to make ourselves better by harvesting more and more. We cannot create peace as long as so many people think that they must have so much more than others.
